FROM LONDON

M3 — Exit 8 — A303 — Exit near Andover on to A343 — Salisbury — A354 — Blandford Forum — Continue on A354 toward Dorchester.

At Winterbourne Whitechurch turn right at the Milton Arms pub, signposted Milton Abbas. 2 miles. After the village sign for Milton Abbas, continue 300 yards to left turn down into village. At bottom of village, turn right - Signposted ‘Milton Abbey’. Continue past the Abbey 2 miles to Hilton. Continue through the village and up a hill to a Y junction. Bear right. Continue 2-300 yards, ignoring a turning right to Bulbarrow. Go 1st left, signposted Melcombe Bingham (You may also see signs for the Fox Inn).

Pass the Fox Inn in Ansty on your left. Continue over small bridge, up into Melcombe Bingham village. Pass village green with small estate of newer houses on your left. After another 100 yards, just as the road bends slightly right and starts uphill, Greygles is on your left. There is a small wooden sign with the house name on each gatepost.

FROM THE NORTH EAST

Through to Oxford. Then A34 to Junction with A303. Follow signs closely as you leave A34 to find the A30 to go through Sutton Scotney and Stockbridge to Salisbury. Then same route as above.

FROM THE NORTH WEST

M5 — Junction 23 — A39 toward Street and Glastonbury — Just before Street follow signs right to B3151, past Somerton to A37 and Yeovil — A30 to Sherborne — A352 out of town — Then left on A3030 toward Sturminster Newton — After 5 miles go right on B3143 — After 1 mile, at Kings Stag, turn left for Hazelbury Bryan — In Hazelbury Bryan turn right, follow road bearing left through village, then right on road toward Ansty (Hazelbury Bryan is confusing, so don’t be surprised if you need to ask for help!) — Through Higher Ansty— Right for Ansty and Melcombe Bingham. Then as last paragraph of instructions from London.

FROM THE SOUTH WEST

Through to Dorchester — A35 toward Poole/Bournemouth — Take exit for A354 toward Blandford Forum — At roundabout at top of ramp, take first road off (B3142 toward Piddlehinton) — After 200 yards, right into country road signposted Cheselbourne and Dewlish — Ignore turning for Dewlish, continue straight on through Cheselbourne — After village sign for Melcombe Bingham, go straight on through first set of houses — Short stretch again of country lane — Downhill into Melcombe Bingham proper — Greygles is on your right, just at bottom of hill. There is a small wooden sign with the house name on each gatepost.

FROM THE SOUTH COAST (Southampton, etc.)

A31 past Bournemouth and Poole or A35 from Poole — A31 joins A35— Past Bere Regis — Take exit for A354 Puddletown and Blandford Forum — At top of ramp, go right at first roundabout, over the road bridge, then at second roundabout, follow B3142 toward Piddlehinton. After 200 yards, right into country road signposted Cheselbourne and Dewlish. Then same instructions as for ‘From the South West’.
